Glasgow was home to two of the greatest architects, Rennie Mackintosh and Greek Thompson. Therefore, Glasgow has a wide culture and many well built buildings that are interesting to look at.

Glasgow is a very old city and with age comes many museums (and history). One of Glasgow’s 20 museums won the award for “Best Museum in Europe” 2013.

There are 6 libraries within Glasgow and this is to cater for the Glaswegian love for reading. Reading is quite popular due to the famous poet Robbie Burns was born close to Glasgow.

Glasgow is also home to “The Armadillo” (the Clyde Auditorium) giving it a well known place for symphonies like the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra to perform. Many of the national companies perform at the Clyde Auditorium. Glasgow has a preference for live music.
